Through market research, consumer awareness campaigns and building the capacity of locally-owned businesses, GET is the necessary catalyst to make this vision a reality. We work together with other citizen and neighborhood business groups to promote a healthy environment, strong communities, meaningful work, fair trade and buying local first.
Local Food Plus (LFP) is an award winning non-profit organization that brings farmers and consumers to the table to share in the benefits of environmentally and socially responsible food production. LFP is committed to building and fostering local sustainable food systems by certifying farmers and processors and linking them with local purchasers.
Slow Food Toronto believes that access to good, clean, fair food is an irrevocable human right. Join us in our efforts to build local, sustainable food networks that nourish urban communities, while providing just support to our rural allies. To ensure biodiversity in our local agriculture systems and to abolish GMOs, we support local, small-scale sustainable farm operations and oppose government support of corporate-controlled industrial farming.
